Patricia H. Lee founded the National Institute for Urban Entrepreneurship
(“NIUE”), a Washington, DC based nonprofit, nonpartisan
organization to stimulate, create and grow private enterprise in urban
communities.
Prior to founding
Ms.
Lee has provided testimony before the House of Representatives Small Business
Committee regarding the impact of regulations on micro-businesses and
entrepreneurs; won the Ernst
& Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2001; been awarded the Ron
Brown Minority Advocate of the Year Award from the U.S. Department of Commerce; an
appreciation award from Howard University School of Business Entrepreneurship
class, and awards for her service to the business community, entrepreneurship
students and churches.
